One of the few Zambian artists performing in Europe, Namvula is a rapidly rising contemporary Afro-folk artist. She is evocative, lyrical and refreshingly topical. Namvula draws heavily on her Zambian heritage as well as referencing her Scottish roots and life in the diaspora, to produce an intoxicating  and adventurous blend of uplifting global sounds.

On the 3rd anniversary of the death of iconic Zanzibari singer, Bi Kidude, we celebrate her amazing life with a Screen Station presentation of I SHOT BI KIDUDE  the follow up to the acclaimed feature As Old As My Tongue. Mariam Hamdani a huge figure in Zanzibari music who features in both films and worked with Bi over the years will introduce the film and will take part in the q+a.  Our very own Prof Bad Man guroovy and ISBK director Andy Jones sends his apologies because he will be in Zanzibar screening the film to the local massive
